LADY B

Our second yacht for this experienced owner, the brief was for a large high-performance sloop with an intimate connection between the interior and exterior. The upper saloon was designed as an artist’s studio during the day with the portside furniture sliding away, whilst in the evening carefully designed eye-lines and the integration of the keel under the saloon seating provides an uninterrupted panoramic view to the horizon from the generous seating on starboard. The saloon was designed to be an integral part of the cockpit with low generous steps seamlessly linking the two areas, the concept being to create one relaxed social space, blurring the boundary between interior and exterior. A feature leather wall that stretches the length of the interior connects the saloon areas with more intimate guest accommodation, piercing the split-level saloon longitudinally and creating niches for paintings and models.
