Hetairos marries the romance of classic 19th century pilot cutters to the technology of tomorrow; a truly pioneering vessel with unprecedented levels of performance and comfort, with classic features and an ultra lightweight vintage interior.

Inspired by the Raffles hotel, white painted woodwork and louvred skylights imply a tranquil sanctuary from the heat of the sun outside, complemented by raised and fielded joinery in a dark stained cherry, with a rich antique hardwood sole. Much of the furniture appears to be freestanding, with selected antique Chinese lacquered pieces being recreated in lightweight materials.

Rhoades Young Design collaborated with the yard and specialist outfitters Oldenburger to develop a method of constructing a traditional raised and fielded paneled interior in the lightest materials available, using carefully selected hardwood veneers over carbon fibre and foam or honeycomb cores. Maintaining the illusion of a one hundred-year-old classic, traditional yacht construction features have been faithfully recreated in lightweight materials.
