MODERN DECO – PHOEBE
The Owner’s brief was for a customised 94’ semi-displacement motor yacht with a comfortable interior. The yacht was sized to be able to access smaller, more intimate ports and allow the owner to quickly move between them with minimum effort.
The furniture is crafted in European walnut, which combined with the fine leathers and fabrics produces a clean modern Art Deco feel. The ‘pillowed’ joinery fronts are framed in Stainless Steel with integrated handrails giving that Art Deco feel to them, but they also make the interior feel solid and reassuring. The furniture is oversized for comfort, but careful ergonomic studies allow for easy access through and around the yacht.
With accommodation for eight guests in four staterooms, there is also aft accommodation for three crew members for extended cruising. This yacht became a flagship for the Moonen Shipyard and is a fine example of their craftsmanship.
