The brief for this ‘pocket superyacht’ was to match the performance and lines of a 72’ modern cruiser/racer with a level of detailing more often seen on larger yachts. Her owner, an experienced owner/skipper from a family of sailors, has taken her around the world and so the interior had to be both efficient and practical to manage the long crossings with a family onboard.
With a hull and superstructure combination of aluminium and carbon, the interior is bathed in light from large skylights and portholes throughout ensuring that even on grey days the interior is well lit. The interior is crafted from French walnut with subtle maple edging which helps hide the solid handholds throughout. The upholstery is light and colourful to create a holiday feel.
With space at a premium in this ‘fine’, fast hull the galley and crew quarters sit aft of the saloon. The saloon features a dinette, lower saloon, Nav station and a gimballing desk/office so the family can work onboard during passages. Forward of the saloon sits two guest cabins and the master suite in the bow.
